JOB DESCRIPTION
STAGE MANAGER’S RESPONSIBILITIES: The Stage Manager shall be responsible to CTOC for the organization, coordination, and management of the production during rehearsals and performances. Such responsibilities shall include, but are not limited to, the following activities:
- Participate in production meetings on a regular basis with the Director, Assistant Director, Musical Director, Set Designer/Set Technicians, Costume Designer, Prop Master, and CTOC’s General Manager.
- Attend key rehearsals including some during the week before tech week, all tech week rehearsals, and all performances.
- Maintain the prompt book, rehearsal notes, and production calendar.
- Communicate with all design and production team members to coordinate technical and artistic elements.
- Advise the production team on rehearsal schedules, technical needs, and performance logistics.
- Ensure all cast and crew are aware of cues, blocking, and responsibilities.
- Coordinate the run crew and work closely with the technical team at the Clay Center.
- Coordinate with the Director and all department heads regarding any technical or production-related needs.
- If an Apprentice Stage Manager is identified, work with the Beyond the Stage CTOC Board Advisor to create a tentative schedule and expectations for the apprentice consistent with CTOC policies.
Compensation: $500.00, payable during the production schedule.
